| 23/07/08 - Cards to sign trialist Domoraud
According to the Woking News and Mail, Kim Grant is on the verge of signing striker Wilfred Domoraud. The 19 year old ex-Yeovil man has scored both the Cards pre-season goals and says "I like Woking and I want to sign. Kim Grant is a good manager who was a striker so I can learn a lot from him". 22/07/08 - Woking 1-6 Colchester United
Oh. Apparently, the Cards weren't as bad as the scoreline suggests in a friendly against League One opposition at Kingfield. However, three goals in the space of five minutes shortly after half time cost them as Matt Heath, Mark Yeates, Anthony Wordsworth, Kem Izzet (2) and Johnnie Jackson all got on the scoresheet. 22/07/08 - Cards sign Patrice Mondon-Konan
Kim Grant makes another signing as Frenchman Patrice Mondon-Konan puts pen to paper on a one year deal subject to FA confirmation. The 25 year old can play both right back and centre back.

Long overdue are the March and April Player/Goal of the Month awards. Also, caption competition is back up and running so you can see the results of Caption Compo 16 and have a dabble at Caption Compo 17.
19/07/08 - Woking 0-0 Neil Smith XI
The Cards drew 0-0 with a Neil Smith XI for the ex-Woking midfielders benefit game with 10% of the profits going to Woking Hospice. Neil brought along ex-players such as Ian Selley, Scott Canham, Chris Sharpling, Dean Austin and Scott Steele as well as Ray Wilkins in what was an interesting if uneventful match. 18/07/08 - Farnborough 1-1 Woking
The Cards began their pre-season campaign at Farnborough on Tuesday in a match which finished a draw. Danny Bunce's cross was converted by trialist Wilfred Droummond but the home side equalised on the half hour mark when Ross Worner brought down ex-Card Michael Charles in the area and Darren Wheeler converted from the penalty spot.
